Case Study: David is struggling to find his purpose

David has been in a new work position for almost two years and he's struggling to find his purpose.

When he first started his job, he was excited by all of the possibilities of his new position, the people he would meet, and the projects he'd be able to work on. But he finds that his ideas are falling on deaf ears, processes are slow, and he hasn't really made meaningful friends with colleagues.

He wonders if it's too soon to leave his job without examining what else he could do. David is struggling between hanging in there with this job or calling it quits. What should he do?
